1.2 Siemens is committed to integrity and professionalism in all areas of its services including recruitment and therefore takes its obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998 (the "Act") very seriously and will use reasonable endeavours to protect the privacy of the users of this Site and ensure that Personal Data (as defined in the Act) is used only for the purposes set forth in these Terms of Use.
1.3 Any Personal Data that is collected on the Site shall be collected and processed in accordance with the Act and further shall only be used by Siemens for the purpose of collecting and processing your application for an employment position within Siemens, or for matching your details with any of the other employment positions within Siemens, unless you notify us in writing otherwise (the "Purpose").
1.4 Without prejudice to clause 1.5, Siemens may pass your Personal Data to any Siemens company within the Siemens UK Group for the Purpose.
1.5 The Site may also be accessed by other Siemens companies world-wide and therefore your Personal Data may be transferred to these companies for the Purpose. 1.6 Personal Data of unsuccessful applicants who have applied to one specific position will be held by Siemens for a maximum of 3 years 6 months from submission, unless you have indicated an alternative period either on your application or in response to any letter sent to you by Siemens following receipt of your application.
1.7 Personal Data of persons submitting details for a non specific position will be held by Siemens for the period indicated by you, marking the appropriate tick box, when submitting your Personal Details.
1.8 Siemens reserves the right to remove your personal data at any time from the Site without notice.
1.9 During the period in which Siemens retains your Personal Data Siemens may contact you by e-mail for the purposes of ensuring your Personal Data is up to date.
Your Obligations
2.1 By submitting Personal Data onto this Site you accept these Terms of Use and accept that Siemens may process your Personal Data in accordance with these Terms of Use.
2.2 You agree to provide Personal Data which is in all respects true, accurate and up to date and is not, in any respect, misleading, deceptive or inaccurate or likely to mislead or deceive.
2.3 Notwithstanding paragraph 1.9 above you agree to inform Siemens in writing in the event that any of the information you have provided is no longer accurate or up to date during the period in which Siemens retains your Personal Data.
2.4 You agree to request the removal of Personal Data if you wish to be excluded from the Site.
2.5 In the event that you are provided with a user id and/or password at any time by Siemens, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of that user id and/or password. You agree to immediately notify Siemens of any unauthorised use of your user id and/or password.
